With experience in technology leadership spanning 30 years, including over 20 in the higher education sector and 6.5 in transportation, I have served in numerous transformative leadership capacities, with over 15 years as the highest ranking technology officer.Joining the Port Authority of Allegheny County (now PRT) in 2018, I was able to successfully transition my leadership of technology to the transportation industry. Core projects at PRT center on the customer experience, notably wifi on buses, bus capacity and tracking upgrades, and enhancing the fare payment options. In 2023, Agency wide Procurement was added to my Division and in 2023 we expanded to include an all-new Data and Information Analytics function.As Chief Information Officer at Carlow University, I led the transition of the IT Division from a wholly-outsourced managed service contract to a hybrid model. The process included managing the end of the prior contract while hiring a new team, building consortial arrangements and focused outsourcing. The transition included a year-long study, external assessment, fiscal considerations and creation of safety nets to ensure that business operations would remain stable during transition. The new Division is structurally built for improved customer engagement. Along with the transition from the outsourced arrangement, a technology governance structure based on CoBIT has been implemented. In recognition of the team's work, organizational change and the improvement in services at Carlow University, I was honored to be named the 2015 Pittsburgh CIO of the Year in the education category by the Pittsburgh Technology Council and Greater Pittsburgh CIO Group
