CombiNet was founded in 2013 by Jurgen De Wolf, at which time full-time active as Group IT Operations Manager at Ontex Group. Yet there was still enough energy left to assist some small(er) companies in their IT challenges and to assist individuals with home automation solutions. The latter was somewhat out of the hobby, but nevertheless offering customers all required experience and knowledge. CombiNet represents a creative combination of information and network technologies to achieve tailor-made solutions. Responsible for all day to day group ICT Infra&Ops activities (26 plants/sales offices in 16 countries in Europe, Asia, America, Australia & Africa. Approx. 3000 AD users, 900 SAP/BW users). Direct end responsible for central datacenters located in Belgium, SAN storage environment, network and communications infrastructure. Negotiation of and decision making in group ICT purchasing and service contracts. Various ICT project management (LAN/WLAN, WAN, SAN, migrations and upgrades, acquisitions, new technologies, ...).

Responsible for group ICT hardware in general: client standardization, central datacenters, SAN storage environment, network and communications infrastructure. Negotiation of central ICT purchasing contracts. ICT hardware project management (WLAN, SAN, migrations, new technologies, ...).

Hardware support, hardware purchasing, maintenance all central servers, communication and backbone infrastructure

Responsible 3rd Level AV-IT issues, European window to Japan / Engineering

- Maintain relation with suppliers, assistance during negotiation of purchasing deals- Make-up of purchasing contracts with existing and GTA’s with new suppliers

- Sales of consumer IT, multimedia and telecommunication related products- Advise to customers. - Interim software department responsible (Ghent)
