J.D. currently manages a globally distributed multi-million-dollar 24x7x365 tokenization product suite.J.D. is a highly skilled database, and cloud engineer specializing in query optimization. As the leader in Platform Engineering, J.D. has spent several years building the team's software build infrastructure and migrating build efforts from legacy and antiquated build processes.

As the Senior Platform Engineer at Paymetric, now a WorldPay Company, J.D. is responsible for the entire development environment. This includes building, packaging, and deployment of Paymetric software across the entire environment lifecycle. J.D. is also responsible for all SQL Servers within the Paymetric development environment. J.D. has also streamlined and standardized new SQL Server deployments.J.D. designed a reporting infrastructure for VMWare vCenter that allows Paymetric engineers view important metrics regarding virtual machines and Paymetric VM infrastructure assets using easy to use web reports. This has allowed J.D. to be much more pro-active in identifying resource constraints before they become a problem.J.D.'s responsibilities increased to include migration and management of software build processes to TeamCity and the integration of automated software deployment using Octopus. This migration to TeamCity has allowed a more streamlined build engineering process which resulted in the elimination of manual processes in the build process. The introduction of Octopus in the automated deployment of Paymetric assets has resulted in the elimination of configuration problems and a much quicker time to deploy.Lastly, and most importantly, J.D. is responsible for all SQL Server code that is deployed to all Paymetric environments. This includes testing, debugging, and performance review of SQL Server scripts.

Responsible for the maintenance and performance of the SQL Server infrastructure to ensure maximum availability. I specialize in performance tuning queries and SSIS ETL automation processes.Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 performance tuning including index tuning, query modifications, hardware optimizations. Database administration using T-SQL coding, stored procedures, backup/recovery, and high availability.Designed geospatial solution in SQL Server 2008 to improve demographic querying and accuracy.
