I'm a product-focused senior engineer who thrives on getting things done. Delivering on commitments and providing valuable solutions to customers is really key to this profession, and seeing our work out in production is one of the most rewarding parts of the job! I also believe strongly in clean and well-tested code that not only does what it is supposed to do, but makes sense to fellow engineers who may also be working in the code base. In my career I have worked across many different industries - consulting, big data, AdTech, and SaaS. I have also worked across the stack in several different languages and platforms: front-end, data engineering, Kubernetes and AWS infrastructure, and backend / API development. Backend engineering is where most of my recent experience lies, but I also pride myself on being able to jump in anywhere in the stack to contribute to the system in a meaningful way. Outside of work, I very much enjoy the outdoors (how can I not, as I live in colorful Colorado!). I am an avid runner, currently on a quest to run a marathon in every state. I also enjoy cycling, hiking, climbing mountains, and photography.Technical SkillsGo (Golang), Scala, Java, Spring Boot, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL
