About James Diemer

I am a high-performing and dynamic leader with extensive experience in major energy infrastructure project development. My development experience is complemented with deep natural gas market and regulatory expertise in commercial and government business environments, as well as organizational management. Additionally, I have expertise in the decarbonization of natural gas and carbon capture and sequestration. I have participated in negotiations of many transactions and associated financings, and I have also been an expert witness in pipeline rate making policy.I have a proven record of success developing and executing strategies that position organizations and complex energy project development initiatives for success. This is exemplified most recently by:• Key contributions my team made to the fully subscribed 12 MTPA, ~$13B Port Arthur LNG terminal which reached FID with $7B in financing on March 21, 2023 and the associated $1B Port Arthur Pipeline.• Driving the formation of a diverse consortium of state and tribal leaders collaborating with Asian US allies to advance the development of infrastructure to bring responsibly sourced natural gas to the Pacific Coast for export.• Conceiving and executing feed gas strategies and related infrastructure to support Energia Coastal Azul, Cameron T-4 and Port Arthur Phase II feed gas supply as well as sequestering associated greenhouse gas emissions. My strengths include:• exceptional communications, • relationship management (verified by top 1 percent ranking in Egon Zehnder's Executive Assessment),• project finance, • commercial structuring, and • market analysis skills. A success area in my past role involved building organizational capacity by recruiting and developing human capital, building teams, developing and breaking down silos. My career has afforded me the opportunity to build and manage diverse teams across multiple geographic locations and diverse cultures. These skills and experiences uniquely position me to drive value in the natural gas, LNG, midstream infrastructure and/or energy transition space. I am ready to undertake an executive role supporting an organization that values these skill sets and continuously strives to improve their interactions with employees and external stakeholders each day to create value for its shareholders.
