Since 1996, I've provided PR and marketing copy for clients in a broad array of B2B markets, primarily tech-related. Domain knowledge and current areas of focus: data science, cybersecurity, cloud native development, FinTech, digital health, IT ops management, cloud services, AdTech, customer engagement. Writing services: blog posts, feature articles, press releases, case studies, white papers, speeches, web copy, data sheets, direct email, and pretty much anything else you might need me to write (I don’t do design—just the words).

Over the years, I served in almost every role on the masthead of Flak Magazine, the long-running independent online journal (launched in 1998), from staff writer to co-editor. Most recently, I managed several sections (Misc, Sports, Rejected!), wrote and edited content, helped produce the site day-to-day, and participated in all-purpose brainstorming for its illustrious future. Which, sadly, came to an end in September 2008.

For my last three years at Miller Freeman, I held ultimate authority and responsibility for four annual high-tech trade conferences; designed agenda and content of each event in consultation with client and/or in-house editorial resources; administered show budgets totaling over $3.25 million in 1995; negotiated contracts and conducted client relationships; supervised operations, sales, and registration; designed, sold, and implemented corporate sponsorships. Prior to that, I worked my way up through the ranks from a humble beginning as a temp.
