Instructors at Creative Encounters have an essential objective, to teach the STEM curriculum while maintaining a safe, positive and hands-on learning environment. An instructor is responsible for designing and presenting in-school workshops that tie into the Ontario curriculum to ensure that the workshops add to or substitute curriculum content. Designing and running educational summer camps is also an imperative component of an instructors role. As a part of the creative encounters organization, instructors also participate in outreach programs. Instructors go to remote areas in Ontario where the children may not have access to the resources we provide as well as aboriginal outreach.

As president it is essential to act as a liaison between faculty and students, manage a budget, and cater to academic and social interests of students in the biomedical sciences. However, the most important roles are to support and build up the members of the association, and to provide the executive with opportunities to develop their own leadership skills. It is extremely invaluable to see what effects the promotion of leadership and team skills has on other students and their futures. As president it is crucial to provide support and mentorship to the executive but also allow students to find the potential within themselves to achieve their goals. There is balance between leading both actively and passively as well as maintaining academic excellence.
