Stanley acquired Sonitrol in July 2008, I was moved into the Global Product Manager role at that time. Between August and December, we concentrated on the reorganization and structure of Stanley's new CSS division.

I ran two major initiatives in the Sonitrol R&D department. One was a software project and the other a hardwre project. The projects were a complete redesign of Sonitrol's core product line. The projects resulted in 4 technology patents.

I managed various support related projects in my time there. Traveling a fair amount of the time, my focus was mainly keeping Sonitrol's monitoring centers healthy and updated with latest software offerings. In addition, I would also engage in application development.

Sonitrol experienced terrific growth through this period which coincided with the growing importance of networking in business. In addition to supporting all the technical needs of the largest monitoring center we had, I also helped build the network infrastructure that connected (at the time) 16 satellite field offices and 150 PC users. At the time, it was a fairly big undertaking as bandwidth was not as abundant as it is today and reliance upon dial-up networking was that much more important.
