I bring over two decades of experience in the IT industry, marked by a rich history in the Property & Casualty insurance sector. For many years, I dedicated my skills to the design and development of insurance processing systems, notably the Guidewire InsuranceSuite. My journey began as a developer and evolved into leadership roles, where I managed development teams and oversaw various aspects of IT department management, such as performance, budgets, vendor relationships, staffing, and resource management.My previous role at MEM provided invaluable experience and insights, which I will forever carry with me. However, I've recently embarked on an exciting chapter in my career as a Software Architect at VU. Here at VU, I collaborate with a dynamic team of architects to shape the future of our systems, guided by the principles of domain-driven design and a web service-based architecture.Outside of my professional life, I'm deeply rooted in the Columbia, MO community. I proudly serve as a member of the board of advisors for the local corps of the Salvation Army, where I'm passionate about supporting their initiatives. Additionally, I find immense fulfillment in contributing my time and efforts to Habitat for Humanity builds.This transition has opened up a new world of possibilities, allowing me to apply my expertise in a fresh context. I'm enthusiastic about the challenges and opportunities that VU offers, and I look forward to contributing to the organization's growth and success.
