Working for ten weeks under Dr Christopher Lehnert, I contributed towards the development of an open-source, palm-sized, micro unmanned aerial vehicle (mUAV) by creating a custom firmware build of the px4 flight stack, I also wrote low level drivers to interface with specific hardware modules. During this project I gained insight into the design of complex flight control software systems and low level device drivers in both C and C++.
