Burrinja is a vibrant community cultural centre in the Dandenong Ranges with a clear, creative and community-based vision for the region: Building Community through Arts.The centre encompasses multiple gallery spaces and artists’ studios, a collection of Indigenous and oceanic art, 400-seat theatre, rehearsal, making and meeting spaces and The Skylark Room Café & Bar.Burrinja is the operational name for the Dandenong Ranges Community Cultural Centre Inc. The cultural centre is a not-for-profit arts organisation and registered charity, incorporated in 1999. Burrinja is governed by an independent Board of Management, which includes Yarra Ranges Council representation.

The Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) is the peak body representing fifty art galleries and art museums across metropolitan and regional Victoria. Our role is to support, develop and promote public galleries in Victoria and within the national context.Our mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of public galleries in Victoria to deliver valuable cultural, social and economic returns to their communities. To achieve this mission we act as a broker between our members, the three-tiers of government, the private and philanthropic sectors, education and research institutions, the media and the community.Our vision is a vibrant, cohesive, professional network of public galleries across Victoria that deliver inspiring visual art experiences which are relevant and accessible to the whole community.

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is the public art gallery for the City of Darebin hosting contemporary visual arts and craft exhibitions, a public education program including artist talks, workshops and events, and the biennial Darebin Art Prize.Built in 1899, Bundoora Homestead is a magnificent Queen Anne style Federation mansion operating as a historic house, art gallery and café, registered by Heritage Victoria and certified by the National Trust.

The Banyule Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee (BACAC) has been established to formally engage with the local community on the strategic direction of arts and cultural development within Banyule. The BACAC will operate a number of working groups which support specific goals and initiatives of the 2013 – 2017 Arts Plan. The BACAC and its working groups will provide a formal mechanism for Council to consult with key stakeholders, seek specialist advice and enable community participation in arts and cultural planning and development.
