"What does the data show you, and why does it matter?"-These were some of the first teachings from my mentor in analytics, to stretch my mindset from just looking at reports, to building visualizations and telling a better story with data.I have spent the last 7 years honing my skills as an analyst, and now as a Manager, in the analytics/insights space at Princess Cruises. I am as interested in speaking about strategic initiatives and testing as I am rolling up my sleeves and getting dirty with data. During COVID-19, I've had the opportunity to expand my skills and learn more about managing technical projects and initiatives, and my colleagues would say they have relished the support. I've learned more about managing a team of analysts, and working between departments to share knowledge and resources, when the cruising industry has gone through such a tough time. I have a previous background in Audit and Compliance with larger corporations such as (name drop) Citigroup, HSBC, and T-Mobile. My educational background was in behavioral economics, and my technical skills have allowed me to delve farther into data to be able to become an effective story-teller to executive teams.
