Certifi Training delivers high quality Workplace & Paediatric First Aid Training, as well as Fire Safety and First Aid for Mental Health across the South West of England. My role is to ensure the very best training is delivered to our learners and the highest level of service is provided to our clients. I have been a St John Ambulance volunteer for many years and acted in a variety of roles both clinical and management. My current role is as Emergency Ambulance Crew, where I have been heavily involved Covid-19 response efforts, predominately supporting the Ambulance Services during this challenging time. When not in my clinical role I have supported the charity through the management of volunteers both at a local and district level.

Tigerlily Training is a Nationwide First Aid Training Provider, specialising predominately in Paediatrics and Blended Learning. My role was varied and being part of a growing business, had to be adaptable. My primary responsibilities were:• Managing 135 Freelance Trainers, ensuring their compliance with both company and regulatory procedures.• Developing Training Packages (traditional, blended and eLearning)• Being the inhouse subject matter expert for first aid, fire safety and mental health• Providing guidance for our Key Clients (including Twitter, Bright Horizons and TUI)• Providing remote learner support to those conducting eLearning• Managing the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA), which included desk-based reviews, quality assurance visits and management of large courses (including those conducted overseas)

My primary role within the organisation is to provide commercial and public first aid training to the high standards of the British Red Cross. I am also a designated First Aid Trainer for the City of London Police, who are a key client of the BRC.In addition I'm a 'Mentoring Trainer' for the London Training Team, meaning that I take the lead in supporting my colleagues with any difficulties they may face. A key part of the role is to mentor new trainers joining the organisation, ensuring that they are not only competent, but ready to train.The Red Cross has been delivering first aid at work courses for more than 30 years and has an enviable reputation for quality and excellence. We hold ISO:9001 2008 quality management accreditation and Investors in People Gold standard, demonstrating the quality of service and training you can expect to receive when choosing the British Red Cross. The organisation operates through 30,000 volunteers and 2,800 staff and has over 180 training venues across the UK.

Forming an integral part of a highly trained Deck Team on the company’s new Flagship M.S. Koningsdam, my main role is as a Navigator and Co-Navigator on a busy modern bridge. Fulfilling the high standards expected of a certified officer operating under a Bridge Resource Management (BRM) Policy during challenging and varied worldwide itineraries. Other duties involve being a Voyage Planning Officer, Safety & Lifesaving Officer and an Administration & Training Officer; being directly accountable to senior ship’s staff. These four-month contracts enhanced my degree level knowledge of Safety Management Systems and Cruise Operations; offering maritime experience from an industry leader.

In addition to achieving the high standards required by the Maritime & Coastguard Agency for them to issue an Officer of the Watch (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency, I’ve also graduated at a degree level standard from an establishment, which is world renowned for 150 years of Nautical Study.Plymouth University ensured that I was comprehensively prepared for the required 12 months of Sea Based Training, which I completed on a verity of vessels worldwide between 2009-2012.• MV Scot Isles (Scot Line), General Cargo Vessel• RRS James Clark Ross (British Antarctic Survey), Ice Class Survey and Logistics Vessel• MV Najran & MV Al Noof (United Arab Shipping Company), Container Ships• MV ‘EDT Protea’ (EDT), DP3 Dive Support Vessel
