I work with manufacturers in China, Indonesia, and Mexico, outsource warehousing & logistics to 3rd parties, and handle all marketing and branding in-house with support staff in Philippines and Vietnam.Aside from building and running my own businesses I take on client work for large and small brands that want to enter or expand in the direct to consumer ecommerce space in USA, Europe, and Asia, or to start up or move their manufacturing to Mexico.

-Business Strategy and Market Development consulting engagement with a fast-growing Indonesian energy efficiency startup. Built channel relationships with architects and engineering firms in new countries in SE Asia, scaling this startup's energy services for very large new construction projects beyond its home market of Indonesia.-Technology transfer in cleantech, particularly in Smart Grid arena. Facilitated communication and partnerships between public & private companies from USA and Europe that want to do business in China. Worked under the umbrella of an established consulting boutique that does the same but with a prior exclusive focus on the solar power industry.

Consistently the #1 performer as as this team grew from 2 to 7 people.-Created & demonstrated a streamlined direct sales process for Industrial energy efficiency services. Top performer in energy efficiency services sales as measured by conversion rates, number of deals, and revenue. Top regional performer in new Demand Response client signups as measured by megawatts enrolled. -----EnerNOC is the largest Demand Response company in the US and the world, and a leader in data-driven energy management for commercial real estate, institutional campuses, and industrial facilities. Separately EnerNOC provides technical consulting services to electric utilities. Services for energy consumers include traditional and persistent commissioning, energy audits & low energy design, strategic energy planning, carbon management, energy supply consulting & commodity price risk management, and navigation of complex utility programs, tariffs, and incentives.

-Analytical equities research on small cap companies for Swiss financial research boutique Research Works 360, GmbH.-Financial modeling, scaling, partnership, and joint venture strategy for San Francisco-based Energy Beyond Design Inc. -Industry outreach and business plan competition planning for the cleantech incubator Imagine H2O, Inc.-Advisory services for ICI Inc, a peer-mentorship and group-financing platform for green startups.-Inspired by the successes of the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative, partnered with Net Impact and Ashoka to facilitate the creation of formal clean technology entrepreneurship communities within and between universities with the nonprofit Cleantech U.-Helped integrate EnerNOC's marketing resources with the operations of a recently acquired energy efficiency company. Later accepted a full time role helping to integrate sales functions with 2 acquisitions.

Kolohala is a venture capital firm in Honolulu that finances early-stage technology companies in biotech, software, and cleantech, including biofuels, solar, waste-to-energy, seawater air conditioning, and sustainable aquaculture.• Led phone & email campaigns to help raise $9M from new & existing investors.• Calculated valuations of 39 portfolio companies and stakes held by specific investors after multiple rounds of financing, and created a permanent tracking system.• Wrote quarterly reports that tracked finances & operations of portfolio companies for investors.• Analyzed entrepreneurs' financial projections for the Kolohala-affiliated Hawaii Angels investment group; also helped entrepreneurs prepare pitches for this group.• Met monthly with the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism regarding due diligence and deployment of $8.5M of State money for venture investments in clean energy companies. (This was one of many funds and the only fund with a public LP).• Policy advocacy regarding investments in private Hawaiian companies. Met 1-on-1 with the Lt. Governor to discuss adverse consequences of proposed legislation that would cost the islands much more than it would save the State; he later vetoed while serving as Acting Governor for several days.

GEC is a Hawaii-based startup that partners with nonlocal early stage cleantech companies and pursues a portfolio approach to commercialization in Hawaii by serving as project developer and regional operations manager. • Defined long-term business strategy through secondary research on technologies, markets, and established competing businesses.• Outlined major research for specific projects including research into crops and sites for a $450M biofuels project involving a consortium of advanced technologies from Hawaii, California and the Philippines, and recruited global technology and agriculture experts for execution of primary research, funded by a Department of Energy grant.
