Across has grown by leaps and bounds since I stepped back to focus on optimistic governance at UMA, rather than working full-time on the Across team.

Developer of smart contracts and new experiments at UMA. Creator of oSnap. Co-founder of the Across Protocol and author of the litepaper. Invented protected tokens and the optimistic governance module and helped integrate various other protocols (Polymarket, Sherlock, etc.) with UMA on the technical side. Excited about the potential of UMA's optimistic oracle. We've barely scratched the surface so far.

Led development of a $2.2M blockchain track-and-trace and compliance project for the agritech industry. Previously, led EY's development team for the 2mota blockchain resource management application, worked on Ethereum smart contract development, integration, and testing for internal projects, specialist reviews of emerging proof-of-stake cryptocurrencies, and blockchain architecture designs and technical responses for new engagement pursuits.Developed new Ethereum smart contracts and tests for a royalties and rewards program used by Microsoft, technical architecture design for a proposed central bank issued digital currency, technical architecture design of a blockchain-based procurement system for a national government, and client engagement and technical leadership on a blockchain proof-of-concept design for a major United States healthcare and insurance provider. Provided blockchain subject matter expertise on cryptocurrency tax software integration.

Created blockchain applications, games, and collectibles, Solidity smart contracts, distributed apps (“dapps”), tokens, and React frontend interfaces using web3 and the Truffle framework. Developed a blockchain game utilizing ERC20 and ERC721 tokens and consulted for an external client on dapps for the Ethereum blockchain.

Wrote frontend and backend code for clients who need internal business management systems and stylish frontend web interfaces, using JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress.

Recruited an international team of developers and designers for a new startup and researched and evaluated elements of the company’s software architecture.

Ran a community-supported investigative journalism project, publishing on a freelance basis with partners at KQED, Hoodline, and other outlets.

Facilitated high-impact investigative journalism in the San Francisco Bay Area with a SecureDrop system, which encrypts and anonymizes communications between sources and journalists over Tor onion services.

Gave feedback and advice to Google's public policy team on new technologies, privacy issues, and hackerspaces.

Helped a growing universal basic income advocacy group coordinate events and panel discussions, drive membership, and launch new initiatives.

Led development of Westward Leaning's ecommerce storefront, built using Liquid, Sass, JavaScript, and a Shopify backend. Worked with our CEO and the design and ecommerce teams to meet our online goals, and hired and trained a junior developer.

Ran a micro-store selling books and art in secret locations throughout San Francisco.

Directed the design and development of mobile wishlist app for kids. This role included short story writing, coding, recruiting, interviewing, UX design, systems administration, and multiple ad hoc tasks supporting this early-stage startup.

Designed and built a web application using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript to run free sports prediction games for bars and restaurants.

Contributed to the Facebook FanPageEngine and iFrameEngine, using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and various external APIs. Worked with the CEO and lead developer to fix specific problems as they arose.

Led the content team for Planet Halo, now part of the IGN network, while I was in middle school and high school. Wrote and edited news and content, directed a team of writers and moderators, and shepherded a large forum community. Grew the site to 1,000,000+ monthly front-page visitors and 100,000+ monthly forum visitors at its peak.
