Over 20 years of IT experience, from SysV kernel builds and AIX kernel bug fixes, to distributed/baremetal-virtualization/cloud based system administration, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, scripting (bash/awk/perl/ps/etc), Prior to 2006, was a technical consultant architecting and installing IBM Tivoli Event management and monitoring products and provided solutions for client systems often required working around the limitations of IBM’s hardware/software requirements.After 2006, began working with AWS VM/S3, building AMIs, managing VMWare ESX, then supporting a multi-cloud management product which opened the door to other emerging private/public XaaS providers: Azure, OpenStack, GCP, CloudStack and Eucalyptus.
