Operations Trainer
CurrentProvide classroom instruction and functional training on mining equipment and processes to both experienced and inexperienced equipment operators.Provides in the field training to Operators to operate all mobile equipment safely and efficiently in the mine, including Loader, Excavator, Dozer, Grader, and Haul Truck, demonstrating appropriate and safe operation of equipment.Design and deliver training including classroom settings and on-the-job practical training settings.Assist with the development of equipment training packages.Evaluate individual performance of equipment operator and provide results to the mining management.Mentor and coach supervisors in their role by assisting with access to training records and utilizing the online LMS (Learning Management System)Maintain required Training certifications, ensuring all training is following legislative requirements, and in compliance with the OHSAPerforms regular audits to ensure appropriate safe operation of equipment for new employees, as well as identifying existing employees to audit and evaluating their abilities to safely and effectively operate the equipment and other day to day activities.Establish and maintain trainees’ records, including logbooks and evaluations, of training events and provides training reports and summaries to management to be assessed for actions and record keeping.Participates in program improvements by regularly monitoring the training program and providing feedback to management and supervisors.Assists with assessing training initiatives and their outcomes and logistical issues, and adjusting training as needed.Assist in the continuous improvement of training programs.Instruct operator proficiency in pre-checks, inspections, operating functions and operating maintenance, safe operating techniques, and practical skills on heavy and light equipment as needed.
