During my second 500-hour field placement for my MSW program, I maintained a caseload providing short-term therapy in individual and group counseling sessions to college students presenting with different mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, relationship issues, grief and bereavement. I created and implemented a psycho-educational workshop series focusing on enhancing the performance of student-athletes and performing arts students. Also actively participated in the weekly interdisciplinary staff case conference meeting.

I completed a 500+ hours intern with Syracuse Behavioral Healthcare (now Helio Health) during the first year of the MSW program. My main role was providing cognitive behavioral therapy to adult clients in group and individual sessions. I also participated in the motivational interviewing (MI) group where the clinicians took turns practicing MI skills and were evaluated per utterance by the group.
