My algorithm reduces the burden of examining dozens, if not hundreds, of vibration spectrum plots per day.● Automated HiveQL queries to provide engineers with the most up-to-date aircraft status reports and oil analysis data.Cloudera Experience● Decreased Cloudera instance resource requirements by refactoring dashboard code, switching from querying local SQLite and HDF databases to data within the Hadoop cluster with Hive.● Created a Python module for tail rotor calculations which was integrated into the operations codebase.This code is now integral to data processing for the H-1 platform.

In addition to data analysis, I documented physical examples of bearing defects to correlate vibration data with actual gearbox failures. I also improved gearbox rebuild instructions by modifying engineering drawings to make them easier to read. I made frequent visits to the squadrons and attended meetings and seminars to interact with other engineers and NAVAIR personnel.
