I set up and maintain the servers, workstations, and network infrastructure for a PK-8 Public School District. I designed and installed the district's Ruckus WiFi network, in 2012. I helped design, coordinated the installation of, and maintain the Cisco BE6000 phone system, in 2017. I also implemented Akkadian management for the latter.I also set up (in 2005) and managed (until 2011) our Student Information System (SIS) PowerSchool, including using PHP and ODBC to sync PowerSchool data with other school systems, like Follett Destiny and NutriKids.I designed and built several FileMaker databases to track inventory and repairs of our computer equipment. I use ODBC to tie it directly to our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, Jamf Pro, as well as PowerSchool and Destiny.In 2013, I designed and oversaw the installation of the district's WiFi network (Ruckus), to support the new 1:1 device program. I also specced, set up, and managed the district's MDM systems (MobieIron and then Jamf Pro).In 2017, I worked with CDW to design and implement a Cisco phone system. I have been administering the system ever since. I also implemented Akkadian PM to help automate management of the system.

Took over fiscal duties for a small (17-unit) HOA. Moved from paper-based accounting to electronic billing through Wintrust's Northbrook Bank. Made annual budgets and set association dues. Worked with various vendors to provide insurance, landscaping, and pond maintenance.

Consultant for many Macintosh clients in education and business.

Installed and maintained Windows 2000 server, running Citrix Metaframe. Also set up and maintained a linux DNS and sendmail server. Later, I migrated their email to Communigate Pro as an independent consultant.

6-month contract. I was a network technician, assigned to Level 2 of the Network Monitoring Center at United's World Head Quarters, in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Designed, built and managed LAN and WAN for $100 million manufacturing company. Also maintained over 100 Macintosh computers and a dozen Windows PCs. Transitioned from a LAN that caused hourly computer crashes on dozens of computers to one that allowed people to run their computers for months or years without crashing. Transitioned from 56K dedicated circuits to Frame Relay, increasing bandwidth tenfold and saving hundreds of dollars per month. Transitioned from Siemens phone system to Intertel hybrid phone system for ease of configuration, additional features, and E911 compliance. Brought IT department into ISO 9001 compliance.

Senior consultant for Macintosh LAN and workstation as well as AppleShare IP server installation, configuration and maintenance. First exposure to switches and router configurations. Learned to make CAT5 cables and general site cabling techniques.

I was the first Macintosh support technician at CDW, who was Apple's first authorized catalog reseller of Macintosh equipment. I handled 100-200 tech support calls per day as well as 10-20 repairs per day. I trained the existing tech support staff on installation of options and basic troubleshooting of Macintosh hardware and software. I also earned every certification Apple had at the time, as well as A+ and many IBM and AST and NEC certifications.
