After my degree, I completed an NCTJ diploma at News Associates, Wimbledon, a top journalism trainee college, which gave me a thorough grounding in all aspects of journalism, both theory and practice. Then just weeks after the course, I landed a job at Gorkana (now Cision), a leading PR and journalism company. My role as nightshift editor involved sourcing the most relevant news for clients and reporting back to them on the articles, in daily press packs. Alongside this, I worked as a sub-editor on Saturdays at the Non-League Paper, working on numerous football match reports sent in from reporters across the country, working to a tight deadline. I have also worked on freelance journalism projects, which can be seen in the work experience section.In the summer of 2018, I left my job at what had become Cision (Cision bought out Gorkana) and moved to Oslo, Norway, with my fiancee, a Norwegian. I was pleased to land a job as editorial content manager at Keystone Academic Solutions, which is at the forefront of higher education marketing, student enrolment, and recruitment. I manage the day-to-day responsibilities of the news section including social media, manage and support the editorial content team, and liaise with clients, along with other duties as part of the team. My interests include sport and travel - both of which I pursued in a professional capacity, having travelled on a press trip to Poland and reported live from football, rugby, squash and tennis. I particularly enjoy racket sports and I am proud to have represented Great Britain the past two years at racketlon, a sport which combines table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis.
