AFROTC Detachment 585 is located on the campus of Duke University and serves North Carolina Central University as well. Accomplishments: • Led military training program and Aerospace Studies Department to recruit, train and motivate officer candidates; program earned top award in southeast region after just one year • Built Aerospace Studies curriculum, taught multiple Duke undergraduate courses in National Security, Leadership & Airpower Evolution; selected as Duke Undergraduate Advisor, Athletic Associate and Arts/Sciences Council member.• Researched, constructed and coordinated Aerospace Studies department's comprehensive summary for regional accreditation agency's decennial review; report became benchmark for all other 143 AFROTC programs nationwide.• Orchestrated successful marketing / recruiting effort via overhaul of website, newspaper and community advertisements; quadrupled number of new cadets in mere two years

Organization Mission: The USAF Weapons School provides the world's most advanced training in weapons and tactics employment to officers of the Combat Air Forces. The USAF Weapons School is headquartered at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada with detachments nationwide. All positions are selectively manned.Accomplishments:• Senior instructor and examiner in USAF’s elite “Top Gun” Weapons School supervising flight and ground evaluations for 22 aviators—responsible for safe, effective flight operation in $5.7M program. Chosen as "top instructor" among peers. • Evaluation Program earned first-ever "Outstanding" rating (a two step jump) as best in Weapons School during bi-annual inspection—quote from report, “meticulous management yielded benchmark results”
