Being from Southeastern Wisconsin, I always knew that my journey would take me beyond the borders of my home state. The longing I felt for something more led me to New York University, where I earned my degree in Sociology with a minor in Law and Society on the pre-law track. My academic experience ignited a profound passion for social justice, and I am excited to apply to law schools in the upcoming application cycle to further this commitment in the legal field.Throughout my academic years I have learned about constitutional, environmental, international, and immigration law but I knew that there were so many other areas to familiarize myself with. Being a paralegal in transactional contract law, representing major corporations such as Discover, Capital One, and Target has broadened my understanding of the legal landscape. When the opportunity came along to to gain valuable insights into an area of law that was previously unfamiliar to me, I took it.My ultimate goal is to become a civil rights lawyer dedicated to fighting for marginalized communities and upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans. I am particularly passionate about juvenile justice, as I believe in the importance of rehabilitation over institutionalization for our youth. I envision a future where young people are given the support and opportunities they deserve to thrive. I aspire to be an inspiration and a beacon of hope for children of color, showing them that they can achieve high positions and drive positive change in our communities, even in a system that has often let us down.I am eager to connect with like-minded professionals and mentors who share my commitment to justice and equity.
