Jean returned to Forbes in March 2009 as a contributing correspondent of Forbes Asia magazine after the Economist Group closed its CFO businesses in Asia, where she served as managing editor. She also contributes regularly to the Business Times in Singapore.Before that, she was a staff writer at Forbes, writing for its global website Forbes.com and Forbes Asia, covering a wide spectrum of regional issues ranging from entrepreneurship, macroeconomic, corporate, political and social issues, with a particular focus on the greater China region. Before Forbes, She wrote about mergers and acquisitions for six years since 2001 as a correspondent in Hong Kong for the Deal, a Wall Street weekly, and its sister publication, the Daily Deal, providing a global audience of finance and legal professionals an insider’s view of Asia’s fast-changing environment. She was a correspondent based in Taipei for The Economist newspaper in the late 1990s.
