I started out as any other young person with an eye for hospitality. I excelled in that space but the hours and time it took away from me was a little too much, as well as the insecure income. I had no time to focus on anything other than work and I had a little one on the way. I then left and took the only opportunity I got which was to be a delivery driver. I started as just that and instead of complaining, I worked hard and excelled and made it to lead driver and have a teamwork under me. Planning routes, designating drivers and client liaison was then left to me as well as delivering packages myself. A better opportunity arose at pharmaceutical contractors in IT. I was in charge of computer maintenance, backups and improvements. From there I worked my way up into junior support planning, which was mostly paperwork driven. Capturing and issuing of documentation were the main tasks. I then moved into factory co-ordination which required a lot more presence in the factory understanding line rates, machinery and people management. Finally ended up today at senior production planning which is the umbrella that all the above falls under. My time here has also been understanding the full 360 of third-party manufacturing, from procurement to dispatch and all in-betweens. I have been molded into a very well-rounded person. I am able to think my way out of situations as well as listen and take suggestions and advice.
