As a mechanical engineer I build anaerobic chambers which are atmospheric control units for use while working with materials sensitive to oxygen or performing general isolation. I follow engineering drawings and specifications which allows me to install automatic humidity controls, oxygen indicator equipment, internal mains sockets, spotlight, catalyst, plate holders and gauntlets. Which then goes through a quality inspections process which then the cabinets gets sent for electrical testing.

At this job I was an apprentice using manual and CNC mills and lathes making tools for injection moulding and die-casting, during resistant materials classes, I made a coffee table which I relished. I had to use different types of wood such as oak for thick, strong legs and MDF for a funky tabletop design. I also produced different types of joints such as a CAM lock joint to join the leg to the tabletop and a dowel joint to join different parts of the leg. In the process I used various types of tools such as a marking gauge, marking knife, steel rule, tri square, coping saws, and hacksaws. I also used various types of machinery such as a sander, pillar drill and a jigsaw. From creating my table, I gained experience of working in a woodworking hazardous environment.
