I have been working with children since I was 18 years old. Started with volunteering in church as a Sunday school teacher. At the same, I was also a youth leader working with Secondary school students. All of these were during my uni days. After graduation, I furthered my studies in Melbourne Australia where I also pursued my other love for dance. Stayed on another year to learn dance full time.Upon returning to Singapore, I started working with children, teaching Math and Science. My encounter with several special needs children then made me decide to pursue my career in the special needs field. I joined an international ABA service provider end 2005 where I received training in ABA for both individual and group settings. After several years, I moved on to another centre that offered mainstream preschool programme as well as therapy services. After a year there, I was leading the therapy segment and was involved in training the staff, consulting, developing programmes and individual educational plans for the next 4 years.Since then I have been working with individuals with Autism, Global Developmental Delay, ADD, ADHD, Selective Mutism and other learning disabilities. After becoming a mother, I am better able to understand the constraints that the families face and seek to help them in more practical and achievable ways.
