Tasks include (but not limited to):• apply software development quality practices and domain expertise to drive the release of quality products. • develop scripts for automated UI and performance testing• ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer. Software Quality Analysts drive improved software development processes by applying quality practices. • influence the overall product design by participating with Product teams to refine the requirements during design sessions and user interface design reviews. • help Software Engineers and Interaction Designers understand how specific customer processes should be designed. • create use cases and ensure adequate testing is built into software development process. • create test cases and test plans for expected functionality and quality levels.• write scripts to automate tests (Silk Test, Webdriver…)• perform end-to-end tests of the products / services using the interfaces built in• Communicate issues (and potential root causes) discovered in this process. Using issues in the JIRA defect-management system (Teamtrack, Jira…)• focus on validating product functionality and customer experience • assist Technical Support resources regarding potential issues / solutions, and proactively, after a product or service is released, • assess customer call and feedback data to identify trends and emerging issues. • work with Technical Support to resolve software problems (find temporary workaround) and serve as the interface between the PD team and Technical Support (when the software code must be analyzed to resolve a problem.
