Coordinate monthly panels and ad hock panels upon request from investigators for research projects in the early stages of development to full grant reviews, by organizing a diverse group of experienced investigators for counseling in a variety of areas of expertise. A member of the committee for the CCTS Interdisciplinary Network Pilot Program for UAB and the CCTS Partner Network of 11 institutions to provide Pilot Grant Awards that allow young investigators to begin their research. Assist awardees in all phases of the award from organizing their teams and attend their quarterly meetings to assist in awardee’s research progress and success. Coordinate and assist with selection of presenters for the Clinical and Translational Science (CTS) Training Program, a 6 months certificate course for junior faculty and postdoctoral fellows who are interested in an academic career in clinical and translational research. Coordinate the Mentoring training by scheduling, tracking attendance and distribute a certificate to each investigator who finishes the program. Assist with planning and organizing of other training programs as needed such as the Training Interdisciplinary & Emerging Research Scholars (TIERS) and CCTS Forum. Assist with the emails addressed to the CCTS general email as well as general office duties. Special projects as assigned by supervisors which has included organizing seminars, including those that provide CME credit and maintenance of records, and assistance with data collection for grant submissions. NIH funded project "Clinical trials of Tenidap: an arthritic control" - PI - W. Blackburn. Purified neutrophils via protein gels, sephacryl columns, and protein A columns and performed radioimmunoassays. Duties also included data management, radiation safety management and laboratory supervision.

Responsible for reviewing, planning and scheduling of laboratory support for chemical, molecular and cellular projects in the field. Assisted in receipt, inventory, use and removal of hazardous and radioactive chemicals from sites in the field as well as in the laboratories. Additional duties included installation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment in the field and in the laboratories.
