Jean-Luc Gilles is a full professor, PhD at the University of Teacher Education (Haute école pédagogique du canton de Vaud, HEP Vaud), a leading institution in teacher education and educational research in Switzerland. He has over 30 years of experience in higher education, teaching, and research, and a PhD in Educational Sciences from the University of Liège in Belgium.His core competencies include assessment engineering, quality approaches in evaluation, and internationalization in education. He is an expert in measurements and assessment services, and has designed and implemented several platforms and programs to support and enhance learning and evaluation practices. He is also the co-founder and former chairman of Assess Group, a spin-off company that provided assessment solutions and e-services. His mission is to promote and facilitate exchanges and collaborations between practitioners, experts, and researchers in training assessment engineering to support and improve learning, and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and innovation in his field.
