I practice exclusively in juvenile child welfare court (Child in Need of Assistance ("CINA") cases, Termination of Parental Rights ("TPR"), and adoption). I represent parents and children (as attorney and/or guardian ad litem). I have previously practiced in family law and plaintiff's employment law. I served as a CASA and CASA Coach for over ten years, have judged mock trial at the collegiate level, and served on the Trauma Audit Team in Polk County, Iowa.I also founded Serve Iowa, a 501(c)(3), to fill the smaller, family-specific gaps between what service-eligible families need and what DHS can provide.
