Accomplished healthcare professional with 20 years experience in medical diagnostics across hospitals in the UK, Ireland, and Australia, I most recently served as the lead CT Radiographer at Tallaght University Hospital for five years. Over the past four years, I have transitioned my career towards preventive health, health promotion, and holistic well-being.I recently completed an M.Sc. in Health Promotion in Practice (Sept. 2024) and have undergone extensive yoga teacher trainings. As a dedicated yoga practitioner, I have partnered with organisations such as Greystones Cancer Support and Tallaght University Hospital, to provide customized online and in-person group and individual classes.My ongoing work with the cancer support centre, where I facilitate three classes weekly, inspired my M.Sc. research, which examines the barriers and enablers experienced by informal cancer carers in accessing local supports. I helped co-ordinate the CT components of this new course at TCD in 2017 and provided lectures on CT cardiac, orthopaedic and vascular imaging (2017-2022). A fantastic learning experience and great to be part of this unique course for radiographers in Ireland. The course format was hybrid with lectures taking place at TCD in St.James Hospital and online.
