In a span of 17 years with Alcatel Space (now Thales Alenia Space), Jean-Pierre Noté held various senior positions: he started by heading the cost accounting department, prior to be company treasurer. Then, as senior manager for international contracts he has been involved in several major international transactions for nearly 10 years. He has provided top-level support in finance, contractual and commercial negotiations with financial institutions and customers in various countries (such as USA, Russia, Turkey, India, Argentina, Iran, Pakistan, Korea). He has a long track record of success in negotiations of satellite contracts with operators, launch services contracts with launch agencies, technical and political risks coverage, space insurance policies, and in raising funds for space projects. From 2003 to 2011, he was the Chief Financial Officer of an international telecom project in Africa (RascomStar-QAF/RSQ); RSQ is a telecom space system dedicated to Africa aiming to bring internet and GSM solutions over the whole African landmass; RSQ is based in Mauritius and has installations and employees in Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, France and Libya; its shareholders include telecom operators from 46 African countries. Since May 2011, he is consultant in space and telecom business (www.energence.fr , Toulouse). As such he provides support to space operators, including RSQ. He brings his experience for preparation and negotiation of the contracts for lease of space capacity, sale of bundled solutions (internet, GSM backhauling) to telecom operators. He also teaches for CNAM (Centre National des Arts et Métiers) at MBA and master level in Paris and other universities (Beijing) associated with CNAM. Jean-Pierre Noté pursued his education in France and has a degree from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Toulouse, a bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in law.
