As a young girl, my parents instilled in me both the importance and value of education and I have dedicated my career to supporting great teaching and learning, both in the classroom and online. I have chosen education as my life’s work. And, like others who have made a similar choice, I believe with conviction that our job, in fact, our responsibility is to support the students we’re serving. We must strive to make learning accessible to every student. While we recognize the path, pace, and place for learning may be different, there is no question that it’s the learning that matters. Today, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in K-12 education. As we continue to navigate in ways that are unfamiliar, unpredictable, and uniquely uncharted, I am convinced that disruptive change will not hold us back, rather it will propel us forward. Together, across the education community, we will forge ahead, united in our commitment to improve learning and life outcomes for students.
