Jean-Christophe Kummer is responsible for business development, company management, and the worldwide expansion of NOA systems. From his early days, he has been an entrepreneur. After earning his Tonmeister degree in Vienna in the early 90s, he was involved in many classical recordings as a producer and mastering engineer. He also worked on large acoustical designs for classical open-air public address systems.Jean-Christophe has developed operational, leadership, and senior management skills, providing software and hardware solutions worldwide for the efficient digitization and management of time-based archives. More than 150 ingest and workflow installations worldwide include a complete NOA technology package for audiovisual archive digitization, with a strong focus on quality management. Over 10,000 users worldwide use the Archive Asset Management mediARC for long-term archiving of their assets.Recent investigations have shown that more than 5 million AV assets have been used in large archival AV transfers by NOA tools and systems. Prominent clients include ORF, VRT, SR, YLE, BNR, HRT, RTV, RTVS, Mexican Fonoteca, Voice of Vietnam, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi Media Corporation, and many more. Having seen so many archives worldwide, Jean-Christophe is able to create meaningful preservation strategies and complete end-to-end systems, including storage systems, depending on the individual shape of archives. This leads to successfully socialized archive content, which can go OTT once digital.
