Develop and manage the labour relations strategy and programs to ensure harmonious relationship between the co-operative and their union. I am responsible for over 37 collective agreements in all of Atlantic Canada on a three (3) year rotating basis. I analyze collective bargaining agreement to develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of contract. Advise management and union officials in development, application, and interpretation of labour relations policies and practices. Prepare statistical reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, arbitration and mediation cases, and related labour relations activities, to identify problem areas. Monitor implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of the labour contract.

Prepared course material and evaluations, delivered content to students, supervised students both in class and in the industry, and kept abreast of industry changes to ensure that the program was in line with employer needs.

Brought on new accounts and maintained existing ones. Company leader in sales: exceeded all quotas.

Managed and developed the territory (New Brunswick and parts of Nova Scotia): continuous maintenance of accounts, as well as securing new customers to contribute to the company's success. I had to complete monthly sales and financial reports. I was also in training for the Terminal Manager's position.

I directed all warehousing and shipping operations with volumes of approximately 15 to 20 truckloads per day and with a staff of one warehouse supervisor and 17 unionized employees. I was responsible for the bottle labelling operation and the packaging department. Part of a pro-active production team in an ISO certified environment. In April of 1999, I was designated to be the "Super User" of a Management team coordinating the implementation of a Y2K radio frequency inventory control system and also assisted in the implementation within other plants in Ontario.
