Cirque du Soil is a circular waste consultancy and certified social enterprise addressing the missing middle in urban waste, focusing on SME to large scale businesses across hospitality, retail, professional services in high street precincts and Multi-Unit Developments. We use regenerative thinking principles within place based frameworks and in-depth stakeholder mapping and engagement, to achieve nature based and/or micro recycling solutions to reducing our impact on the planet. Our mission is to reduce and divert waste & non biodegradable materials going to landfill from inner city precincts, to reinvest “waste” back into our local communities for upcycling into circular products. We also develop community programs and broker access to food tech, AG tech and circular supplier solutions, like our flagship community compost collective, community waste collectives and insight lite program as part of our ReDuce and ReGrow pillars.Shortlisted as a finalist for the City of Melbourne Fishermans Bend Digital Innovation Challenge 2024, Innovation Category at the TMRWW awards 2023, finalist for the sustainable design initiative in the Design Files Award 2020, featured at Melbourne Knowledge Week’s Victorian Circular Futures exhibition by Circular Economy Victoria and RMIT Circular Activator. The Placemaking Leadership Council (PLC) is a group of do-ers and deep thinkers at the forefront of the Placemaking movement. The Council was formed to strengthen Placemaking as an international movement and to support a community of practice for Placemakers working in many diverse contexts.

Commune + Co is a certified social enterprise placemaking consultancy, with a place based and systems thinking approach to urban research, design and development through placemaking initiatives and urban interventions that directly address current social and environmental issues that ultimately inform holistic regenerative responses to city shaping and the built environment.Our key areas are Climate Emergency and Disaster focused, Regenerative Precincts and Place, Closed Loop Food Systems, Circular Economy, Waste Minimisation and Recycling, Co-housing / Collaborative Living, Aging/Retirement, Cultural integration and Mixed use developments.We are about driving change through ideas, where we actively seed and design impact driven place projects: Cirque du Soil (Food waste management for precincts and MUDs), Neighborhood Social (loneliness and social isolation); where we utilize a range of targeted community engagement strategies, collate and distill data, program design, graphics and branding, partnership and stakeholder engagement, event curation and operations.

Responsible for facilitating stakeholder engagement, business development, proposal writing, project management and delivery of Circular Economy projects with local government. Secured a successful proposal for City of Sydney and Better Buildings Partnership (BBP), to deliver a Circular Economy Vision roadmap and community of practice with BBP Circular Economy Working Group members and external stakeholders. Executed project scope to identify and map circular solutions around specific commercial building problem materials, and produce procurement and operational material flow diagrams around food waste and single use plastics. Other project involvements include supporting delivery for Single Use Plastic (SUP) desktop analysis for Sustainability Victoria, and Circular Economy stakeholder engagement for Sustainability Advantage and City of Penrith.

Co-founded local chapter of the global movement Yes in my Backyard, a Not-For-Profit advocacy. Funded and oversaw the website development, co-creating the 8 pillar framework for a Victorian specific context lobbying for Good Development Outcomes: - Design excellence- Innovation- Sustainability and Regeneration- Community dividend- Engagement - Collaboration- Adaptive Reuse and Affordable Housing. Worked with Yimby Australia and QLD/WA/SYD founders across various design and construction industries to develop governance framework and public awareness building.

Multi-faceted part time role which required broad knowledge of Environmentally Sustainable Development (ESD) products such as Sustainability Design Assessments, Waste Management Plans, Construction Management Plans, to develop value proposition for business growth strategies for increasing Architect and Property Developer client base. Reported directly to the principal on administrative and overall company successes and finding solutions for areas needing improvements. Built company intranet, redesigned all client facing branding outputs including copywriting and digital communication marketing campaign strategies to targeted clientele. Created business case and purpose driven alignment for BCorp business status, ensuring we met all technical aspects of the certification. Other duties include strategic marketing campaigns, expand communication channels,, managed implementation team, identified business strengths, identified opportunities and capacity for company growth, awareness of ESD reporting and assessment standards and staying up to date with local and international industry trends in architecture, sustainability, property development and waste management.

Performed as Project manager, Architect and Client for self-build property actively managed end to end design and construction processes to building completion; developed and reviewed site scope and building plans under heritage and conservation overlays. Collaboratively designed with subcontractors and construction personnel on building design features, internal fit out and coordinated all final material finishes and specifications.

Responsible for Boral Competition entry 2010 from concept schematic to assisting directors in design documentation in ArchiCAD and final submission renders.

Coordinator between key administration, Project Managers, Architects, Interior personnel and clients. Administrative tasks, developed client database for office records and organized business meetings between the Director and new property developer clientele. Compiled research and facilitated public lectures between the Director, architectural industry stakeholders and academic events. Assisted and reported directly to the Director in day to day operations of office and project management, and assisted in business development and client relations within the property development sectors.

Design contribution to Eco Thermocell house build for book publication. Redesigned more effective internal circulation strategies and facade components; schematic design consultation of recycled container units for portable residency. Worked on Moora Moora Community Sustained Agriculture Project, learning hands on landscaping, permaculture and ESD-sensitive residential building techniques.

Personal assistant to architect both performing both design support and office administration. Maintained documentation with architecturally specific jobs, AutoCAD and model-making.

Facilitated communication and worked across small teams of Architects and Interior Designers. Undertook a variety of tasks including Microstation, measure-ups, model-making, rendering, research, filing and archiving and managing trade library.

Conducted installation of Index file systems in new trade libraries and existing client offices, administered and updated trade material, analysis of information from brochures and material samples and processing product data specifications into the office catalog system.
