At Upbound I manage two teams who focuses on building out the open-source Crossplane ecosystem. The teams work full-time on building out the Crossplane framework, the provider ecosystem, and ensuring a healthy project community.

Sourcegraph is a SaaS offering providing best-class code search, monitoring, batch changes, and insights for developers.I led our Enablement organization which focused on developer experience and enablement. I was responsible for managing 4 teams and a Staff Engineer across an org spanning 28 teammates. My duties included:- Creating an org-level strategy to align with product strategy and business priorities- Managing engineering managers and providing coaching- Working with my Staff Engineers to identify and execute large cross-team initiatives.- Helping resolve technical and non-technical challenges- Contribute to cross-department architecture discussions- Conduct performance evaluations- Lead our department calibration process- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiation- Work with the VP of Engineering and Talent Team to drive engineering hiring improvements

I joined Sourcegraph and grew the Web team from 3 engineers to a team of 12 split across 3 teams.

This was a newly created team at GitLab where together with the Product Manager we were tasked to create a new editing experience for static websites, especially those driven by markdown formatted content. I hired the team, and we iterated on building a solution that was used to help employees edit GitLab's handbook. The technology we built now powers GitLab's rich content editing experience on wikis and other markdown enabled areas.

Samewave is a platform where teams can capture and track the commitments made to each other and communicate around moving their work forward. At Samewave I play a leading role on the client-side development of the product's web (single-page web app), mobile (Cordova) and desktop client (Electron) using Ember.js as our client-side framework. I also assist in the recruitment, onboarding and performance appraisal of team members, mentoring of juniors and setting of the technical strategy. https://www.samewave.com

I started at Quirk as a junior developer and over the last 10+ years have worked my way to a senior management position and serving on the company’s Exco. My time at Quirk exposed me to a variety of developments including corporate websites, Ecommerce websites, intranets, brand websites, campaign sites, mobile websites, mobile applications and digital activations.In my role as CTO I managed a department of 15 people including Java developers, PHP developers, Frontend developers, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
