CurrentJeane Hendrix is a Registered Nurse working as the Clinical Nurse Liaison at Shell Point Retirement Community. Decades of experience in diverse industries, including healthcare, international travel, hospitality, and business ownership, have strengthened Jeane’s passion for serving others. As an international flight attendant with Trans World Airlines early in her career and later owning and managing hotels on Sanibel Island, Jeane finds building trust and cultivating positive working relationships with diverse clients, co-workers, and agencies second nature. As the Clinical Nurse Liaison at Shell Point Retirement Community, Jeane continues to build community relationships and helps residents navigate the medical maze to recover from injury or illness to continue building a beautiful, healthy life. Graduating with her school's top award for Clinical Excellence, Jeane’s nursing experience includes hospice care, acute cardiac progressive care, and outpatient surgery. In her work at Shell Point, Jeane routinely helps residents and their loved ones find answers, maximize care benefits, and fast-track recovery while navigating the complexities of the healthcare system. Having moved to Sanibel in 1980, Jeane has had decades to develop relationships within the medical and professional community. Part of her role as Clinical Nurse Liaison is building trust and collaboration with doctors, specialists, and partner organizations throughout the area.
