I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington; my journey as a Graduate Student at UNCW taught me various skill sets. My skills focused on designing and conducting experiments, analyzing and interpreting collected data from these experiments, and evaluating scientific literature to help with assessing my research and learning new advancements within the virology field. I also acquired communication skills in scientific writing and presentations on my work at state and international conferences. This program challenged me to critically think about biological problems, analyze data objectively, and formulate creative solutions based on my research findings. With a strong growth mindset, I am very excited to find a career in which I can continuously learn and collaborate with like-minded individuals!
