I am an award-winning author and freelance writer. I have written more than a dozen books - The Unofficial ALDI Cookbook, Wisconsin Cocktails, Drink Like a Woman, Dehydrating, The Joy of Cider, Cauliflower Comfort Food, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Gluten Free Eating, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Dehydrating Foods, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Sausage Making, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Pairing Wine and Food, The Cheeses of California: A Culinary Travel Guide, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Tapas, The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Cheeses of the World, and The Cheeses of Wisconsin: A Culinary Travel Guide. I have ghost written three books, including Butter Monger. I regularly write about food, wine and travel for a variety of publications including: Forbes, theKitchn, Wine Enthusiast, Cheese Professor, Alcohol Professor, Chicago Health, Chocolate Professor, and others. I am a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors. I received several first place awards in the annual Mark Twain Awards competition, including best travel book for my book on California cheese. I regularly appear on Fox6 Wake Up morning news program, and I have contributed content on spirits, cheese and wine to WUWM. I also teach cocktail and culinary classes for places like Kohler Food and Wine Experience and Milk Street. I have also appeared on several other television and radio shows to talk about cocktails, food and wine.
