My name is Jeanette Perry.I am the Academic Recruitment Specialist for the Prothro-Yeager College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the McCoy College of Science, Mathematics and Engineering at MSU Texas.I'm currently pursuing my MBA at Midwestern State University. Graduation pending December 2024.I am involved in the community and believe in service to others. I volunteer and start initiatives when I see a need and am always willing to do things to help other people. I've done everything from judging speeches and music competitions to bringing food to teachers and staff to show support and appreciation for their work. I'm an advocate even when being an advocate is tough.I really enjoy coming up with new ideas and creating things that I can be proud of. I'm tech savvy and I learn new things extremely fast because I refuse to be bad at something... so if I'm actually bad at something, I work not to be bad at it anymore. For the business types, I'm Choleric Lion and Sanguine Otter, Internal Locus of Control, Type A, High EQ, ENFP, and high self-monitor.I am a perfectionist but realize I'm human and fallible. I'm a mom to two daughters and I have a wonderful husband of 22 years! I'm blessed!Fun facts? -I'm a classically trained Soprano and studied voice for years! -I sang the National Anthem for the 75th Anniversary of the Texas Credit Union League Conference in front of a big audience.-I sang the National Anthem with a group before a Harlem Globetrotters game (in February 2020)-I've been performing in front of people since the mid 90's. I live to be in front of people talking, singing, and acting.-I used to submit poetry and had several poems published.-I won a TIPA award for a story I wrote for the Wichitan (My first sports story ever!)-I like picking up instruments I don't know how to play and figuring them out.-I'm always running and doing something, somewhere. I am always busy doing something.-I'm a crafter. If I can create something from materials with my hands, I LOVE IT!-I LOVE taking pictures. Most of my photography revolves around my kids, so Band and Soccer... YES I'm that mom!That's who I am in a nutshell.
