I helped establish processes to improve efficiencies and operations, including recommending and implementing changes as a member of the President's Advisory Council. Trained, mentored and managed a team of 3-4 recruiters directly, while providing training and support for staffing consultants as needed. As a hands-on recruiter, I partnered with companies to identify their hiring needs and find qualified professionals who complement their teams and can help meet their objectives. I recruited and worked with talented financial professionals passively open to new career opportunities. I recruited and placed staff to executive level accounting and finance professionals in temporary and direct hire positions. Initially elected by the Chapter Presidents Council, I served two terms on the National Board of Directors for the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA), formerly known as American Society of Women Accountants (ASWA), a non-profit organization with over 3,000 members whose mission is to enable women in all accounting and related fields to achieve their full personal, professional and economic potential and to contribute to the future development of their profession. Members include partners in national, regional and local CPA firms, financial officers, controllers, financial analysts and data processing consultants, recent college graduates and women returning to the workforce.
