I currently work for Ataraxia/Verano in Albion Illinois. We are a manfacturing plant for medical and recreational marajuana. I began in July of 2021 as a packaging specialist and was promoted in March to Team Lead of my department. https://www.verano.com/I have worked with Developmentally Disabled adults for a total of 35+ years, beginning immediately upon graduation from High School. I was with my previous company for almost 31 years. I held the positions of Facility Manager but I started out as a Direct Service Person so I was familiar with all aspects of the agency. I also held the position of Production Manger for the agency, which I began in December of 2016.My duties as Facility Manager included addressing and fixing any and all Facility related issues. This included any staff related issues. My duties as a Production Manger included scheduling production staff, overseeing incoming job bids, time studies, prevailing wage, sub-minimum wage and basically anything involving the production department.During my time with this agency I learned many, many things. I am certified in First Aide and CPR and was re-certified each year. I also have a Food Protection Manager Certification. I was a member of several agency committees, including Safety, Administrative Review, Behavior Management, Human Rights and Client Management. I was trained and certified in OIG Rule 50 and Investigative Skills. I served as the OIG Liaison for Lawrence/Crawford Association for Exceptional Citizens.I attended monthly Chamber of Commerce and Interagency Meetings.
