I am a seasoned veteran in the field of sales and business development. I have over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry, most of which has been with my current company Buffers USA. Buffers USA is composed of 3 main divisions: Lashing Equipment, Intermodal Hardware, and Moisture Control Solutions. We have been in business for over 20 years and I’ve been with the company for over 17 of those years and have worked in almost every one of our departments to include managing our warehouses domestic, import, and export shipments, Sales for our OEM & Land Hardware equipment, and now Vice President of Desiccant Solutions.In Desiccant Solutions our focus is protecting your cargo and stored goods from moisture damage through the use of moisture/humidity absorbers, also known as desiccants. While your cargo is in transit it most likely travels through different temperatures, often times from one extreme to the next. The changes in temperature creates a moist environment for your goods as the containers tend to produce what’s known as container rain; basically a form of sweat inside of the container. Many businesses are aware of this and actually include this cargo spoilage as an expected cost, hence our motto “don’t accept cargo spoilage as a cost of doing business”.
