• Co-authored the development of a front-end Payments library and its associated backend services with an MS SQL Server database to replace Uhaul's legacy systems. This includes debit, credit, Zelle, Real-Time Payments, ACH, gift certificates, electronic checks transactions with multiple payment processors (PNC/Elavon/Chase Paymentech/Amex/Discover).• Proficient with unit and integration testing frameworks, Thrift microservices, and WCF services.• Knowledgeable about building fault tolerant applications.• Assisted with the development of Ingenico Lane 7000 payment terminals.

• Developed, tested, documented changes to Follett's point-of-sale system in over 1200 stores.• Overtook the .NET development of Symbol scanners used by the stores for price lookups, store orders, and other inventory functions. The project initially at a standstill was completed within a couple months.• Created various monitoring and reporting tools to help support the stores.• Implemented a line tracking system using C#.• Automated the periodic compile of the POS software in a team of several developers.• Converted a legacy ticketing module to .NET (WinForms and later WPF).• Developed a custom .NET TDES/AES component, to replace a vendor’s encryption library (Chilkat).• Performed development on multiple peripherals (Epson TM-H6000, TM-P60/80, IBM 4610-2CR, ONeil OC3, Zebra LP 2824 Plus printers…).• Evaluated, tested, documented, and installed replacement POS solutions for Follett (OneView and Oracle's Point-of-service, using Java on Motion, Ipad, and Windows tablets). Participated in the automated installation of the new POS applications.

• Performed enhancements on the chain’s POS systems in over 220 stores (over 1100 cash registers).• Implemented debit authorization on new payment terminals (VeriFone Everest Plus and MX830) for an estimated cost saving of $300,000 per year in transaction fees.• Evaluated several other PIN pad devices (Hypercom S9 and ICE 5500).• Resolved various issues in regards to downgraded credit transactions during settlement, for an estimated saving of $70,000 per year.• Implemented various projects such as a Fastlane voucher system (40,000 redemptions within 30 minutes), a trickle polling system, live reporting of cash registers, a fail-safe messaging system for off net transactions, Club membership cards, third-party offers, a touch-screen interface for café registers, a One Day Sale mode, protection and encryption of customers’ credit card data (PCI), coupons with barcodes, promos, an enhanced training mode for store associates, etc…• Streamlined the return transactions and gift card processes for loss/fraud prevention.
