Paraprofessional - Emotional Behavior Support (Ebs)
CurrentUnder the direct supervision of the EBS Teacher, on a teacher-paraprofessional team supporting the Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals; I provide feedback to assist the Teacher in developing plans to enable each student to achieve their full potential in school. This goal is achieved by working with a variety teachers in various classrooms to offer each individual student academic assistance, observe and give emotional and behavioral support and help prevent escalation when possible.Skills: • Creative strategies and techniques for working with students.• Present subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of lead teacher.• Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups in order to help them master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.• Observe students performance, and record relevant data to assess progress.• Effective professional interpersonal and empathic communication skills; with the ability to interact with students academically, while bolstering their confidence and enthusiasm.
