I have worked in the Library environment since 2001. As a graduate assistant I worked in the Forrest County Law Library aiding the general public and attorneys in the location of legal materials. I did my internship at the Library of Hattiesburg, Petal and Forrest County. I worked as Branch Manager at the Lumberton Public Library in 2003 to late 2004. I then took a position in Southwest Florida as a Floater Librarian where I did children's programming. I then took on the permanent position of Reference Librarian at Bonita Springs Public Library. An opportunity arose to come back to my home library system in Lamar County in the capacity of Director in Spring of 2006. I have been at this position for three years. I am very happy at this position as we have made great strides and are recognized around the state as one of the hip and innovative library systems. I plan to stay at this position for some time.Specialties: I have worked circulation, planned and executed children's programming, worked reference desks and managed libraries.
