• Provides support for families with co-occurring Down syndrome and Autism and Complex Medical Needs • Provides regional hospitals, providers, and schools with current best practice information for individuals with Ds-ASD• Attends annual IEP meetings as needed for families with Ds- ASD• Plans and implements quarterly Complex Needs group meetings in collaboration with the Boston Children’s Hospital Down syndrome program, including the recruitment and coordination of speakers and volunteers to support the unique needs of the families in this group • Organizes and hosts quarterly Cultural Diversity Group events • Identifies and facilitates strong relationship with other organizations to co-host complex needs events • Communicates with families as requested by the Family Support Director to resolve concerns, identify key resources, provide emotional support; maintain database documentation (NEON), respecting confidentiality of families • Maintains an ongoing list of key resource and assist in continually updating the MDSC website • At events: set up and take down program space; take attendance; monitor safety of program participants; engage families in positive interactions • Assists Family Support Director in maintaining positive relationships with supports group leaders across the state, including attending support group events, representing MDSC on Facebook, planning and attending the support group leader retreat, and providing consistent communication with support group leaders• Represents the MDSC at other special events such as the Buddy Walks to connect with and support families • Evaluates family support programs to constantly improve program with co-occurring Ds- ASD and complex medical needs

• Provides on-going support and resource information for families involved in the demographics of educational, medical, and social emotional needs across the lifespan • Administers, moderates, and maintains social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn• Communicates with families via email and/ or phone to help resolve challenges they may be facing• Prepares and presents presentations for local, state, and national conferences and forums • Co-hosts monthly virtual support meetings, as well as face to face quarterly meetings • Acts as a liaison between families and providers such as Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston Children’s Hospital, and UMass Medical Center

• Attends quarterly board meetings• Inspects and tours the residence to ensure safety, cleanliness, and ensure the welfare of the residents • Conducts annual review of the Executive Director
