I am an educator passionate about driving results and achieving long-term behavioral change. Impact is at the heart of how I approach tackling educational system change with a deep-rooted belief that learning should be fun, participant-driven, accessible, and experiential. I received a Posse undergraduate leadership scholarship to Trinity College (Hartford, CT) where I graduated with a dual degree in Human Rights and Hispanic Studies. Thereafter I won a Fulbright award to teach English at the University of Medellin, Colombia for one year. I then took up a 2-year position with Teach for America as a Corp member in Washington, DC teaching secondary Spanish and Latin American History. At the end of my engagement, I joined an Education startup in Nairobi, Kenya working to bridge the education-to-employment gap for university graduates. Over the last two years, I’ve trained over 150 managers of leading East African companies on foundational management skills and mindsets. I am most in my element when facilitating sessions that enable me to connect with participants and exchange knowledge and information. My unique value is that I take complex ideas and turn them into simple learning opportunities for both young students and adult learners alike. I am a relationship builder with a genuine commitment to listening, connecting, and engaging with others on a personal level. My passionate curiosity and infectious enthusiasm inspire collaboration and rally people around a shared mission. I balance flexibility with strong planning skills to achieve tasks effectively, efficiently, and on time. I am well-traveled and have lived and worked in North and South America as well as East Africa. Bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish with extensive experience in navigating multicultural environments.
